- MIDDLESEX BLUE FLANNELSAll-wool flannel, woven in 3-shaft twill of American wool and dyed fast indigo blue. Much in vogue 1860 to 1880 in the United States and was made at the Middlesex Mills, Howell, Mass., in weights from 9-oz. to 141/2-oz. per yard. Used for suitings.
